The Captivating Colours of LIFE!

During this joyous festival of beaming diyas and vibrant colours, rangoli has and will always be an inevitable fragment. The two rangolis depicted in the pictures above, illuminate exceptionally important lessons of life- The cruciality of the variety of colours. The second one seems to be more elaborate as compared to the first one, whereas the third one remains the most intricated and beautiful one. This is only due to the addition in the range of colours and the art of blending it appropriately. Correspondingly, our life is also box of the most expansive assortment of colours. It only varies depending upon the number of colours and the art of blending that we use based upon the situation.

Life is about using that whole box of crayons!!

Life is like a rangoli… We have the power to fill it with any kind of colours we desire, in order to make it look beautiful. Sometimes, it does happen that a slight variation in the appropriate colour or blend of the rangoli, completely spoils it (like sometimes, small problems create a havoc in our lives!) but we even have the power to recreate it in a way we want since colours don’t need any design to look beautiful!

The Cryptic Colours

Colours, together are a pertinent portrayal of the situations in our life which consists of soothing as well as trying times. But we must always remember that life is like a rainbow… you need both sun and rains to make the colour appear! Dark and difficult days (like dark colours) when remembered once in a while, make the brighter ones (like light or bright colours) shine. But considering the lighter days as a part of the darker days, just makes everything black. (Like a drop of blank paint when added to white , gives a soothing grey… but a drop of white paint added to black, makes everything black)

In nature, light creates the colour. In the picture of life, the colour creates the light.

Different interpretations about different colours

The vibrant RED

Represents ‘life force’ full of passion is on one end used to express pious love….on the contrary, it is also used to represent violence, anger, blood, courage, vitality…..

The natural GREEN

Symbolizes tranquility, good luck, prosperity and health… while sometimes, it is also used to express the destructive feeling of jealousy

The soothing BLUE

Signifies the calmness, serenity and wisdom… whereas sometimes, it is also used to symbolize a gloominess or dullness…

The energetic YELLOW

Usually used as a warm manifestation of positivity and brightness… however sometimes it is also used to express cowardice

All the above-mentioned colours have a positive as well as a negative interpretation However, it depends upon us, how we (and our thoughts) perceive colours. Our thoughts are our reflections and our soul is dyed by the colour of our thoughts… so always, be happy, optimistic, fresh, energetic and have a prosperous new year ahead!

Yes, our life is truly that 64-shades box of crayons… but we have limited it to just an 8-shades crayon box… our life without any of these colours, hues and blends is actually incomplete… Include all colours and hues in your life and enjoy it to the fullest…

  5. Wonderful expression through colours. This reminds me of the kaleidoscope. Every turn projects a different pattern similar to the changes in our life.

Wow! I really liked the manner by which you’ve woven another analogy between life, colours and a kaleidoscope… Problems in our life, are like those dark colours which just enhance the beauty of the light colours. They are truly analogous to the pieces of broken glass, which seem to be an obstruction at first…. But when one sees carefully through it, one can surely see something beautiful (like the images seen through a kaleidoscope)…
