Welcome to the first post of Kashvee’s Art Arcade!
The colours of the above canvas painting enlighten us with two important and deep lessons of life…
- Its not necessary to be bright, its important to be self-contented!
In this painting, the darkest colour which has been used is BLACK. Although being an extremely dark colour, it’s the most contented one as it comprises of each and every colour ever used in any palette… Hence, being self-contented is ethically more essential than being outwardly bright… - Usually, colours tend to enhance the painting’s (art piece’s) appearance or that of the colour itself (to make itself look more attractive) … However, black is one of the only colours in the presence of which the brighter colours are further enhanced. Hence, when we show concern for the happiness in others, we ultimately enhance happiness in ourselves.
Nice lesson to be learnt on contentment Kashvee. Most of us forget ourselves in the run of life when to stop and hold or be contended. Satisfaction and contentment comes with experience.
# I LIVE TO WRTIE – keep writing.
All colours can be painted with self contentment….it’s the artists way to enhance its beauty.

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback!
Yes, truly, in the hustle and bustle of the modern-day life, most of us forget to be satisfied and realize the blessings which we have…
And, not only paintings, but our life can also be coloured with contentment and satisfaction, because satisfaction unlike success is measured by us and our expectations…

Black is beautiful and self contented reminds me of an important lesson in life. Its not important to be happy to feel grateful. However it’s important to be grateful to feel happy. The contentment and grateful in us mirrors the world around us. A very deep thought, which is so gracefully blogged. Awesome Kashvee 🙂

Thank you so much, Dad!
Yes, honestly, its only a thankful and a grateful heart which remains a ‘happy heart’… satisfaction is one of those very few pious and unique feelings which lies in the effort and not in the attainment…

Beautifully written.
When we show concern for the happiness in others, we ultimately enhance happiness in ourselves.
I truly believe and follow this.

Black is a colour that absorbs all the others and yet retains itself…So yes..It is happy to be itself…And as you rightly said …In the process shows us a very valuable lesson in life…Thank you for sharing this work and your perception Kashvee…Waiting for the next one

Yes, truly, without black, no other colour has depth because the ‘satiated black’ doesn’t change its colour (shade) as easily as the others…
Glad to know that you’re waiting for my next post! Will post soon😊
Till then, keep reading and sharing your ideas, thoughts and suggestions…

Yes, actually, black is considered to be one of the dullest and darkest colours of the palette which is liked only by a very few….Black, is truly one of the most important colours of the palette as we cannot understand the brightness of colours, till we see its darkness….

Oh cool, acrylic is a pretty versatile medium. Have you tried Royal Langnickel paints? I tried ’em last summer and they were excellent.
