Welcome to the First Post of- ‘Reflect and Retrospect- With Kashvee’, and my 23rd blog post after a prolonged hiatus of about a year…

‘The World From My Eyes’ is reviving, revitalizing, rejuvenating and successfully reinvigorating!

Back with a bang, I am hereby launching a fresh, new page on my blog called-Reflect and Retrospect-with Kashveewherein I intend to propose a topic with multiple aspects to it. Enthusiastic followers, readers and netizens- pour in your valuable opinions and perspectives to foster an unimaginably winsome world of imperfect beauty…

Embarking on the path named- ‘Courage’

She embarked on an unknown, mysterious and an unfrequented path named- ‘Courage’, with her mind sunk in perpetual doubts, suspicions and only a ray of hope, to keep her going…

The Course of Courage…

The road ahead was bleak, she felt as a week, meek-freak
Contemplating over her heart and chemicals of the brain
Down the lane- much rather unexplained….

Playing truth and dare, with her hypocrite friends
Amidst the hype of following sassy and dapper trends
Raising a bottle of champagne, fizzing in the season
She grappled to align with their insanity, without even a reason!

As they recklessly danced on the tables of the college canteen,
Playing nasty pranks and breaking rules merely to create a scene
They jumped from terraces, tried holding their breath
Partied hard in clubs with cocktails, as if to death
Leaving her wondering, what actually ‘courage’ was
Amidst all the noise and the deafening chaos….

Is it the tales of valor and bravery…as her grandparents said;
Or escaping the chains of slavery- as History declared
Or binging on dark chocolates like her younger sibling,
So clandestinely that no one could hear his nibbling!

Is it confronting your parents to take every decision?
Or fulfilling every blind, savage dream that you envision
Is courage confined to only being fearless
Or going upfront just to confess….

  1. Really well written and thought provoking poem Kashvee!
Courage for me meant facing your worst fears and overcoming them for the right reasons. Giving it a deeper thought, I realised that our fears are directly influenced by who we are, who we think we are, and what we think an ideal world should be. Completely agree with your opinion

  2. Wonderful post! I agree that courage is about challenging your limitations and expressing yourself. It isn’t a complete absence of fear though. I think it’s being able to step outside your comfort zone, and taking action despite the fear.

COURAGE IS THE JEWEL TO LIFE.
    Never should be lost.
Correctly said that Courageous person shall never give up until end as it’s hope never dies.
It’s believed that Implementation of Courage in positive aspect shall always teach good and vice versa may ruin.

  6. “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.” – Nelson Mandela
This quote sums up my thoughts about courage … according to me every single time you do something out of your comfort zone or something that you were afraid to do before… proves how courageous you are……

This was a really thought provoking blog… gave me a really new perspective about courage ….. eagerly waiting for the next one….

  7. Growing your circle of influence far far BIGGER than your circle of concern is courage. As it is rightly said that practice makes the man perfect. The homework, the investment, the dedication to a task will bring one to a point wherein no external noise or drama makes any sense and the level of conviction overcomes any level of fear or concern. Mehnat itni Karo ke safalta shor macha de. To me, that is courage.

Beautiful thought provoking topic chosen by you. Keep penning. It’s a delight to read.
